Welcome to the new Mayors Youth Empowerment Program (MYEP) website!

Our Mission: MYEP exists to provide advocacy and support to at-risk youth, children and adults with disabilities who face barriers to independence and resources to their families.

Volunteering

How does it work?

Volunteers are matched based on interest with adults, children, or to help with a program, special events or projects. A volunteer or match with a staff member to provide them with guidance and direction and training needed.

What would I do?

  • Share an interest
  • Be a friend
  • Be a helper
  • Lead a project group
  • Teach someone or a group of people your skills, interest or habit
  • Learn something new yourself

Volunteers are also needed to help with office assistance, mailing preparation, cleaning, cooking for special events, assisting with fundraising, and other clerical duties.  For more information call the Administrative Assistant at 319-341-0060 ext 7002

What are the hours?

Very flexible, you tell us what hours you can help and we will work with you. To identify a project you can help us with for us.
